I’m trying too find out any sort of information about what machine needle to use working with a shower curtain fabric.

For shower curtain fabric, the needle depends on what kind of fabric it is.
If it’s a woven polyester shower curtain, I’d start with a universal needle, size 80/12 or 90/14.
If it’s heavier plastic, vinyl, or waterproof-coated fabric, I’d use a Schmetz vinyl or nonstick needle, size 90/14. Here are my affiliate links – https://amzn.to/3S7qYJK and https://amzn.to/43oRjFF
A leather needle can cut holes, so I wouldn’t use that unless the material is very tough and you test it first.
