It’s that magical time of year when our wallets tremble and our credit cards break into a cold sweat – Black Friday is here! I’ve been diving into the sea of sales like a determined penguin chasing fish, and oh boy, have I surfaced with some pearls!
Are you ready to turn your craft room into a fabric fortress? Dreaming of a kitchen appliance that can chop, dice, and possibly do your taxes? Or maybe you’re just trying to be the cool aunt/uncle this holiday season? Well, hold onto your shopping carts, because I’ve got deals that’ll make your inner shopaholic do a happy dance!
Note: Some of the links on this page are affiliate links. This means I will receive a commission if you order a product through one of my links. I only recommend products I believe in and use myself.
Please note that all sites I recommend have a solid return policy but I also recommend being careful and always reading the small print and all disclaimers, some sales might have special terms. I have bought myself at least once from all the merchants I recommend.
What are some of my favorite deals?
AccuQuilt
I have previously bought an AccuQuilt GO! cutting machine (and many accessories) and I was very pleasantly surprised by the increase in productivity and quality of work when using this fabric cutter. I highly recommend it, if you quilt, in my opinion there is no doubt you need it.
AccuQuilt has a sale on Black Friday. If you were planning to buy an Accuquilt cutting machine or accessories (for you, and it makes an excellent gift too for a quilter), here are some helpful links.
Please note that individual prices might vary during the period too, so if you see a coupon for 30% off Monday and “just” 25% off Friday, this does not mean that Monday’s prices are lower since individual items might be on sale Friday but not Monday.
AccuQuilt SpecialDeals (includes cutting machines)
Arrow sewing and cutting cabinets (some deep discounts here)
Trade Up and GO! upgrade program (if you need to upgrade your cutting machine)
If you’re a quilter, you know that cutting fabric into precise blocks is essential for creating a beautiful finished product. But it’s time-consuming and frustrating, if you don’t have the right tools.
Enter BOB, the Block on Board AccuQuilt die. This amazing die cuts every shape you need for a block in one pass, so you can cut an entire block in just seconds! They are all o sale now.
Plus, it’s a great value because you don’t need to buy multiple dies to create a single block. So if you’re looking for a faster, easier way to cut quilt blocks, BOB is the perfect solution!
There’s nothing like finding something you want or need at a fraction of the price. It’s like getting a little present for yourself.

My husband STILL recommends the phones below as budget phones but fully functional nevertheless. EXCELLENT for the price; the Samsung, despite being an older model, is not your bare-bone phone, it was not long ago the top of the line Samsung model. Yes, you do not get the latest one (the S24+ is the latest Samsung at this time, and it is also on sale at Amazon: Samsung S24+), but for the latest one you would need to pay three – four times that much! Yes this is a refurbished device but the device my husband got when he bought one of those had absolutely no sign of being used, and he took it with him to Europe where it worked flawlessly (it worked in the US too). Until it didn’t work anymore, he dropped when it was out of the case). This year my husband likes the newest Motorola G Power (he really likes the hand gestures) and he is thinking of getting it because it has wireless charging.
Question: how long until you dropped your phone the first time? For me it took perhaps 10 minutes, of course I am not going to shell out $1000+ for it!
Beware that not all Moto G Power phones have wireless charging, only the newer 6.7″ models. The older versions are only 6.5″.
And if you are looking for a smart TV, Amazon has a number of them ob big, big sale:

And for all of you out there who have thousands of embroidery designs that are becoming more and more difficult to store, here is what I did last year: I bought ANOTHER hard drive like this – it seems I buy one every year. I don’t need extra power cables to access the files and I can move to any computer easily. The hard drive is so easy to access, it is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. And it is really an affordable backup method, when you think how much we depend on the computer. Fortunately this year it is again on sale, (15% off).
But Amazon has excellent deals again this year on USB flash drives which I use to transfer files between computers and between the computer and the sewing machine. I do NOT recommend purchasing no-name brands, they might be cheaper, but I had cases where the cheap USB drive, once written, could never be used again.
Amazon has some very good black Friday deals for sewing also; I have seen discounts of 40% on some items! The following links will bring you to an Amazon page with deals for:
- Sewing machines
- Sergers / overlocks (I still recommend the Brother 1034 and Singer 5004 for budget machines)
- Sewing notions
- Sewing threads
- Embroidery thread
If you are looking for a simple, but reliable sewing machine, I recommend this one. I had this machine myself, I used it as a backup for the time when my main sewing machine was in service; in the end due to lack of space I donated it. The machine worked flawlessly for me for as long as I had it.
Beware though this is not an industrial machine, it is not made for mass production. But for a beginner it is a solid machine. If you buy it, just make sure you test it immediately, in case something bad happens you can return it to Amazon. These cheap machines are difficult to repair, repairs often cost more than a new one!
Not only Amazon has sales, others have too. In fact, it is good to check prices on multiple sites, Amazon is not always the best solution. Here are some alternatives:
But let’s get back to our sewing deals on Amazon, because there are many of them. Here they are, in no particular order. Have in mind, if you are a Prime member you will take advantage of a plethora of Prime benefits, among them free shipping. But the good news is that Amazon Prime offers a free 30-day trial to those curious about trying the service. To access it simply click this link and follow the on-screen prompts.
Beware that the sale for some of the items might be ending sooner than for others; Amazon has a unique style of making the deals time dependent.
I have found a LOT of deals on other on line stores too; for example here are some links for Walmart:
Walmart – Electronics Black Friday Deals
One thing I really, really like at Walmart is this: The Dyson V8 Origin+ cordless vacuum cleaner, they promise a 50% off for Black Friday. I have adopted recently two dogs, and both shed in the warm Florida weather like you would not believe. This vacuum is my lifesaver, easy to pick it up and clean all the fur. I paid for mine full price and I still think it was an excellent buy!
Macy’s has also joined in the Black Friday frenzy! I did not even know the upscale department store (and website recently) is into this deep discounting, upscale stores used to not have these sales. But it turns out they do, and I found excellent deals here which I might buy even, for example a 4 piece Clinique skin care set for about 65%off! And there are others, like this White Goose Feather & Down 240 Thread Count Comforter which will be on sale for up to 70%off (the king size version) or Brookline 1400 Thread Count 6 Pc. Sheet which will be on sale for up to 79% off!!!. Here is the link for Macy’s Black Friday deals.
Another popular store is Target; and of course they are in! Here is the link for Target Black Friday deals, and I have already investigated their toy offers. Let me tell you, I really believe they are on to something here! I was looking for a Monopoly game (the original) and they promise a 50% off. Incidentally, I also found something I was not looming for: the ThinkFun Gravity Maze Builder Board Game, which also is 50% off.
I hope these will be helpful, as the ones I published before seem to have been. Beware that some might be out of stock at some point or the deals might be limited in time.
Good luck!
