Not long ago, nobody, yes, nobody was making face masks. Now everybody makes them! Therefore, I made my own, here are the designs: How to sew a fabric face mask plus a free pattern Face mask DIY sewing tutorial plus a free pattern I can’t prove scientifically that my DIY surgical masks work, but empirically,…
In this sewing tutorial I want to talk about stitch length. When you are a beginner in sewing maybe you don’t think much about the stitch length. But as you sew more and more you notice that you need to change the stitch length quite often if you want to improve the quality of your quilting and sewing projects.
This is a tool-by-tool guide to sewing with natural silk fabric. But not all silk though. If you sew with medium or heavyweight silk then you can use your regular sewing tool and notions. In this video sewing tutorial I will show you how to sew a bucket hat with a transparent shield made from clear vinyl. I made a sewing pattern in two sizes – adult and child. The project is very easy even for beginners.

It doesn’t fog because it’s not very close to the face. The vinyl shield can be disinfected with alcohol. The hat has thin straps to secure it under the chin on windy days.
