The first & most well-known brand of sewing clips was  Clover’s Wonder Clips

They hold multiple layers of fabric. Highly preferred over pins working with silk, vinyl, leather. I use them all the time for quilt binding.

Are sewing clips better than pins?

They each have their own unique benefits that make them better suited for certain tasks than others.

Their large size makes them good to work with, but makes them bulky to store. Because they’re plastic and bulky, you can’t sew or iron over them.

As for me, I use both  pins & clips. I use clips for projects that use thick fabric, multiple layers, or fabric that’s slippery. I still use pins,for example when aligning darts or working with elastic.
